The Practically Perfect Gift Guide for Practically Everyone

And a big bonus: these are all superbly re-giftable so if you get it wrong, they can easily (easily!) pass it on to someone else.

I think it’s the time of year that a lot of people lament the gift giving process. It’s so expensive, wouldn’t we all just rather have the money, etc.

I actually love gifts. I love giving them, I love receiving them. It’s just a really lovely way to say hey, I thought about you and I thought this thing might make you happy or make your life easier!

These are some of my favorite gifts I’ve given and recevied. All affordable! I’ve provided amazon links where I’ll earn a small commission, but you can also find these in other places or even secondhand.

RAD Roller

This is a myofascial release tool. I bought this and I’m in love with it. If you’ve ever rolled your foot on a tennis ball and thought man, that feels good. This feels ONE THOUSAND TIMES better. Because it hits your foot from two angles and there’s zero chance it slips out from under you. You can also use it on your neck, hips, calves, forearms…

I own this and it’s a MUST pack item when I’m traveling. Tourist feet are tired feet!

Who it’s for: Travelers, athletes, people who stand at work, people who have feet.

FOREO LUNA mini 2 face washer

I bought this and I’m in love with it. I fell down the rabbit hole reading about FOREO tools vs Clarisonic and landed on FOREO.

Why? Primarily three reasons. One, you don’t have to replace expensive brush heads like with the clarisonic. Two, after having tried both, the FOREO actually legitimately made a noticeable difference in my skin. And three, I washed a sort of life changing review of both that was like…the magic of these tools isn’t how well they wash your face. It’s that they’re like a personal trainer! They have a timer so you actually wash your face for two minutes instead of 20 seconds.

Who it’s for: Beauty enthusiasts, your mom/sister, people with faces. Slightly more personal than the rest of my suggestions!

Grid-IT Cocoon Accessories organizer

I received this as a gift and I love it! I keep the small one I got as a gift in my suitcase, and I keep a bigger one I bought in my work bag. So easy to wrangle cords, chargers, hand sanitizer, and headphones. I have also used it to pack jewelry so nothing gets tangles.

Comes in lots of sizes and colors! You could also gift it with goodies tucked into it.

Who it’s for: Travelers, Techies, People who use chargers, People who carry bags with multiple things inside

Ceramic Nesting Bowls

I received something very similar to this as a gift and I love them! I was like ‘okay cool thanks’ when I got them, and a few months later I was like ‘OMG THANKS’ because I use these every day. For salads, for snacks, as a counter top fruit bowl, and evvvvery time we have people over. They’re just straightforward and practical and pretty!

Who it’s for: Entertainers, Foodies, People who like to put things in bowls, People who like to eat

Refillable Shampoo and Conditioner Bottles

I bought these for myself and I love them every single day! I have also gifted them to multiple people. (I also like this version.) Seriously, every time I’m in the shower and I see these bottles that are one, not ugly plastic branded shampoo bottles, and two, way easier to use because of the pump, I’m pretty pumped myself. Even if someone doesn’t want these in their own shower, they’re perfect for the guest room.

Who it’s for: A hostess with the mostess, A new homeowner, People who take showers

Extra (extra) long charging cables

The joy of being able to use your phone in bed, laying on either side! I’m literally always looking for another charging cable, and I so appreciate receiving these as gifts! When giving, I always give gold just for fun, but classic white or black works too.

Who it’s for: Social media mavens, Gadget fiends, People who have phones

OHOM Self Heating Mug and Wireless Charger

I have given this as a gift and received it as a gift! I like it better than other heated mugs/mug warmers because the base can also wireless charge your phone. Comes in a bunch of colors and the mug has a cute little lid to keep your drink extra warm. And it’s dishwasher safe! Unlike some other options.

Who it’s for: Coffee lovers, Tea Lovers, People who are often cold

Car Safety Tool

Weren’t these popular gifts a few years ago? I think I remember receiving one but I don’t have it anymore! And because I’m a worrier by nature I keep thinking I should get one but I haven’t yet. I’d be delighted to be gifted one!

I like the shiny gold version but plenty of other colors you can find online.

Who it’s for: Your dad, People with cars, People who worry

Rechargeable hand warmers (That double as a portable phone charger)

I LOVE these. I am always, always cold and having these in my pockets is magic. Whether I’m walking the dog or just in a chilly conference room, they make such a difference! I’ve had a few different brands but this one has held up better. Back up charging is a bonus!

Who it’s for: People who work outside or commute in all weather, People who have to walk the dog in the winter, People who are always cold

I could go on and on about my favorite gifts I’ve given and received! Museum passes, a custom painting, cooking lessons, great sheets, fun games.

For me what has often made a gift most meaningful is when someone tells me what made them think of me and why they thought I would like it. It really is the thought that counts! And gifts are mostly a way to tell someone else you love them and you want them to have something they’ll like.

Please, please, please tell me about the best gifts you’ve received in the comments! Especially if it’s something you might not have picked out for yourself. My first Alexa was a gift and I have to say I can’t imagine not being able to just ask the air what the weather is. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Happy Holidays!
